Insegna Storia moderna all’Università della Valle d’Aosta. Tra i suoi libri recenti “Storia degli Stati sabaudi” (con A. Merlotti, Morcelliana, 2017), “Turin and the British in the Age of the Grand Tour” (con K. Wolfe, Cambridge Upress, 2017). Con il Mulino “Andare per fortezze e cittadelle” (2019) e ha curato “Guerre ed eserciti nell’età moderna” (con P. Del Negro, 2018).
